• Information session planned for PPL Sunbury-Frackville Line Project (republicanherald.com) — A major PPL transmission project will rebuild the Sunbury-Frackville power line, running through Schuylkill County and ending at the Frackville substation, with construction planned for 2027–2028. Residents can learn how it may affect local reliability and nearby townships at an open-house information session April 23 in Pitman, where PPL representatives will answer questions and explain the planned switchyard at Highridge Business Park.
