• Two Motorcyclists Injured After Losing Control on Sharp Curve and Gravel in Richland Township (explorevenango.com) — State police based in Franklin report that two motorcyclists were hurt when they lost control on a sharp, gravelly curve along Bear Run Road in Richland Township, Venango County. A Waterford rider declined transport for minor injuries, while an Erie man was flown to UPMC Hamot with moderate injuries. Both bikes were damaged but towed from the scene.
   

• Clair R. 'Pete' Noel (explorevenango.com) — Family and friends across Oil City and Franklin are mourning Clair R. “Pete” Noel, 88, a former Quaker Market manager and C & S Vending repairman known for fixing jukeboxes and pinball machines. The classic car enthusiast and Steelers fan is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; services and burial will be private.
   

• Betty VanZandt (exploreclarion.com) — Franklin is mourning the passing of 62-year-old resident Betty VanZandt, a Rocky Grove High School graduate and devoted Steelers fan deeply involved with the Eagles #328 and VFW Post 1835 in Franklin. Her family will hold private services, and friends are encouraged to honor her through donations to the Franklin VFW or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
