Haywood Joins Neighboring State Representatives in Welcoming Over $4 Million to Improve Community Spaces (pasenate.com) β Glenside Pool is set for a complete rebuild, with $350,000 in state funding earmarked to demolish the aging 1967 pool and construct a new community-focused complex. The same grant package brings additional money to Cheltenhamβs Curtis Arboretum and Rowland Community Center, plus projects in Abington, Rockledge, Jenkintown, Mount Airy, Germantown, and Philadelphia.

Cheltenham, Hatboro, Abington, Rockledge, Settlement Music School Willow Grove each receive state grants for various projects (glensidelocal.com) β Glenside residents will see a major upgrade to Glenside Pool thanks to a $350,000 state grant, part of a broader round of Local Share Account funding. Cheltenham also secured money for Curtis Arboretum and Rowland Community Center, while nearby Abington, Rockledge, Hatboro, and Settlement Music School Willow Grove received support for community, safety, and recreation projects.

Four Cheltenham football players, including senior standout quarterback, to play for Lincoln High School this season, The Inquirer reports (glensidelocal.com) β Cheltenham football fans in and around Glenside will see four former Cheltenham High players suit up for Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia this season after Cheltenham canceled its 2026 varsity and JV seasons. The standout is senior quarterback Kendall Jackson, while two other seniors await eligibility hearings and the district has not responded about possibly fielding a ninth-grade team.
