Their programs aim to strengthen neighborhood stability while preserving Allison Hill's identity.

2. Safety concerns grow over busy Harrisburg intersection where a 55-year-old was recently killed (wgal.com) — Neighbors in Harrisburg are pressing the city for stronger safety measures at North Front and Vaughn Streets after a 55-year-old pedestrian was killed there about a week ago. Residents say flashing lights and signs aren't enough, pointing to speeding traffic and minimal separation from the roadway, while police note the intersection's current layout has been in place since around 2017 or 2018.

3. Market Street Bridge in Harrisburg to undergo renovations by 2034 (wgal.com) — PennDOT is planning major renovations to Harrisburg's Market Street Bridge, including a new pedestrian-only utility bridge connecting the city, City Island, and the West Shore by 2030. Work on the main vehicular span is set to start in 2030, bringing lane closures, detours, and game-day traffic changes during Senators home games. Residents can submit questions and comments online through September 7.

4. Runway reopens after plane makes emergency landing at Harrisburg International Airport (local21news.com) — An American Eagle flight made an emergency landing at Harrisburg International Airport Monday night after smoke was reported in the cabin, briefly closing a runway. 5. PA Turnpike tolls will likely increase until 2055; new collection methods needed: audit (local21news.com) — Auditors in Harrisburg say Pennsylvania Turnpike tolls will likely keep rising through 2055 as the system struggles with massive debt and unpaid tolls.
