The Kelly Center Presents Not Tuna

Not Tuna is a tribute band dedicated to the music of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady.

Not Tuna performs their classic songs with an electric and acoustic mix, then adds a few originals and deep track gems.

The band was formed in 2019 by guitarist and singer Mike Boni and bassist and singer Danny Gold. Mike has frequently studied guitar with Jorma, is the lead guitarist for So. Central Rain (a REM tribute), and was formerly with Philly mainstays the Icons and Weight of the World. Danny is the bassist for Broken Arrow (a Neil Young tribute), the legendary Dukes of Destiny, and Philly's longtime favorite western swing band Beats Walkin'.

Mike and Danny both share a love of the music of Hot Tuna and have been integral parts of the Philadelphia music scene for over 4 decades.

One evening in 2022, they invited 8-time Grammy award winning drummer and producer Andy Kravitz, who records and performs with the legendary Taj Mahal, to jump up on stage and jam with them. Sparks flew, and Not Tuna was complete!

BYOB is welcome for an additional $5 donation per drinker. Disposable cups and ice provided. No Food is served at the Kelly Center. You can bring in outside food. There is a vending machine with snacks , cold drinks, and coffee pods for a Keurig.  

Doors open at 7:00 pm. 7:30 show.  

Free Parking in Oakmont Municipal lot behind Kelly Center off Darby Road. Additional FREE parking is available courtesy of our friends at Grace Chapel on the corner of Eagle and Darby Roads.
