National Night Out Set For Friday In Hatboro

HATBORO, PA — National Night Out is coming to the borough on Friday night with an event planned at Miller Meadow Park.

National Night Out is an annual, nationwide campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and brings residents and police together for a night of fun and socialization.

National Night Out events are free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances, according to the organization's website.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.

HATBORO BOROUGH

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce and the Hatboro Police Department invite residents to attend its celebration in honor of “National Night Out.”

The Hatboro Chamber will be celebrating 14 years of hosting this event for the town.

It will be held on Friday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Miller Meadow Park, south end of Hatboro across from Loller Academy (414 South York) known as Borough Hall.

This event will feature children’s activities to increase their awareness of crime prevention, fire equipment demonstration that showcases Hatboro’s volunteer fire personnel, displays of police weapons and communication equipment, and hands-on demonstrations of fire and police safety equipment.
