West Moreland Avenue Bridge To Open Ahead Of Schedule (patch.com) — Hatboro drivers should soon get relief as the West Moreland Avenue Bridge is now expected to reopen in early November, roughly 14 months ahead of schedule. Borough officials caution that weather and remaining work like paving, striping, and rail installation could still cause delays, but they're calling the rapid progress tremendous news for the community.
   

3. Woman Charged With Writing $850,000 In Bad Checks (delawarevalleynews.com) — Hatboro Police have charged local resident Jessica Babb with writing roughly $850,000 in bad checks that allegedly defrauded Hatboro Federal Savings and several family members. Investigators say she falsely claimed she was awaiting a large settlement from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and they are still looking into whether additional victims received checks that later bounced.
   

4. Hatboro man with 'foot fetish' draws prison for improper contact with teen girl (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A 77-year-old Hatboro man has been sentenced in Montgomery County Court to two to five years in state prison, plus lengthy probation and sex offender registration, after unlawful contact with a minor involving explicit messages and offers of money. Hatboro police, alerted by concerned residents, used text exchanges and a planned meeting at a local Wawa to build the case and prevent further harm.
