• SPS Technologies reached an agreement to settle a class-action lawsuit over a massive 2025 factory fire in Montgomery County (inquirer.com) — Residents of Jenkintown who were affected by last year’s SPS Technologies factory fire may soon qualify for cash payments under a proposed $5 million class-action settlement. The deal would compensate nearby homeowners, workers, and businesses for unreimbursed losses, and specifically notes smoke damage and evacuations that heavily impacted neighboring Jenkintown, with claim forms due by early December if the court approves. 
• Glenside author, Abington grad to host book signing at Capricorn Books in Jenkintown on Sept. 13 (glensidelocal.com) — A local author is holding a book signing at Capricorn Books in Jenkintown on Sunday, September 13, from noon to 3 p.m., giving residents a chance to meet him and explore his mental-health-focused stories. The longtime Glenside resident has self-published 13 books, including children’s titles about anxiety, and the shop has recently moved to a new Yorkway Place address.
