Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools

BLOCS, the leading Scholarship Organization dedicated to the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC), and the sole administrator of the Economic Disadvantaged Schools (EDS) programs, today announced the appointment of Jim Fries as Chief Development Officer. The hire strengthens BLOCS’ leadership team as the organization scales fundraising, strategic partnerships, and program impact across the state of Pennsylvania.

Fries brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning pharmaceutical, medical device, and nonprofit sectors. He has held multiple C-suite roles, guiding strategic initiatives that fuel growth and long-term impact.

As an international speaker, Fries has delivered keynote presentations to external stakeholders and industry professionals on growth strategy, leadership, and organizational development. He currently resides in North Wales, Pennsylvania, with his family and is an avid golfer.
