• Second defendant arraigned for ransacking vehicles (timesleader.com) — Residents in Laflin are among several Luzerne County communities where police say vehicles were entered and items stolen this spring and summer. Two men now face multiple theft-related charges, with preliminary hearings set for August 11 in Luzerne County Central Court. Stolen items reportedly included cash, electronics, identification cards, and firearms.
