Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation recently expanded into a larger Lancaster facility, allowing more animal care and public education, and they’re actively seeking local volunteers, donations, and supplies to keep their work going.

Woman steals more than $2K worth of items from Ulta Beauty in Lancaster County, police say (wgal.com) — A woman has been charged after more than $2,200 in merchandise was taken from the Ulta Beauty on Fruitville Pike in Manheim Township, and she was later committed to Lancaster County Prison. Police say surveillance video shows the suspect filling bags with products before leaving without paying, and note she is linked to similar incidents at other stores.

Here's the 2026 Long's Park Summer Music Series lineup (fox43.com) — Free Sunday concerts are returning to Long’s Park in Lancaster this summer, with shows running June 7 through August 23 at the amphitheater lawn. Fire crews from Lancaster, York counties respond to West Hempfield Twp. brush fire (lancasteronline.com) — A brush fire in West Hempfield Township drew multiple Lancaster and York county fire crews Thursday afternoon, but it was quickly brought under control with no injuries or structural damage. The incident came amid elevated wildfire risk in Lancaster County, and residents are being urged to use extra caution with cigarettes, machinery, and any ignition sources in the dry, breezy conditions.
