• Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014, world's largest operating steam locomotive, makes first appearance in Pennsylvania as part of its 2026 cross-country tour (beavercountyradio.com) — Leetsdale railfans can look forward to a rare treat in mid-July, when Union Pacific’s massive Big Boy No. 4014 is scheduled to make a western Pennsylvania stop there as part of its America 250 tour. The 133-foot, 1.2-million-pound steam locomotive is drawing huge crowds nationwide and will pass through 14 states before wrapping up its coast-to-coast journey.
