"American Idol" Contestant From Bucks Co. Eliminated
Ricky Moyer, a Neshaminy High graduate, did not make the cut in Hollywood during "American Idol" auditions on Monday night.

BUCKS COUNTY —Ricky Moyer got his ticket to Hollywood on "American Idol."
But his chance of stardom fell short as he was not chosen to be among the final 24 contestants on the ABC television show on Monday night.
The 22-year-old Levittown man and 2019 Neshaminy High School candidate had performed a song before the show's three judges that earned him his golden ticket to Hollywood and a chance for stardom.

He sang and played on piano “It Must Have Been Love” for judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan, the Roxette's 1987 hit of the same name. He even got a standing ovation.
On Monday night, though, Moyer was eliminated in the showstoppers round.

Patch reached out Tuesday to Moyer for comment, but a Facebook message was not returned.
Hollywood week kicked off in an episode Sunday night that featured contestants performing in the Idol Arena, as 143 hopefuls were whittled down to 56, including the three platinum ticket winners — Abi Carter, Julia Gagnon, and Odell Bunton, Jr. — who opened the episode with a rendition of Sia’s “California Dreamin.’”
After 80 contestants were eliminated, Moyer made it through Sunday night's episode.
The episode, which aired Monday night, showcased another series of performances, and revealed the show’s top 24 finalists, who will take the stage in Hawaii over the next two episodes.
Moyer will not be among them.
Moyer studied at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory in Ohio starting in January 2019.
Moyer is the third Neshaminy High School graduate to appear. Former Top 7 Idol contestant Catie Turner had a run as well during the 2018 season. Kevin Murphy, a 2012 graduate, was also a contestant.
