Multiple Popular Restaurants in Collegeville Area Closing: Dining Roundup

Three Italian restaurants were impacted.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Numerous restaurants around the greater Collegeville area have announced closures over the past few weeks. Here's a glance at what's been happening on the local restaurant market:

  • Local favorite Osteria will close its doors in the coming week. Its last night of dinner will be Saturday, Aug. 1. The eatery on 3835 W. Germantown Pike has been serving the community for 21 years.
  • Pizzeria Uno in Oaks is closing its doors for good, the restaurant announced Wednesday.The popular eatery's last day open will be Sunday, Aug. 9.The restaurant on the corner of Black Rock Road and Egypt Road did not give a reason for its closure.
  • Taco Pizza in Oaks will be closed for the foreseeable future. Ownership said the closure was due to "circumstances regarding the property," but did not specify beyond that.

The July announcements come after the recent nearby closures of the Oaks Bob Evans and the PF Chang's in Providence Town Center.

In related restaurant news, Five Guys is moving into the Providence Town Center location previously occupied by Elevation Burger. The opening date is scheduled for Aug. 20.

A new bagel shop, Bootsie Bagel, opened in late June. It's on 3801 Germantown Pike at Evansburg Village Shopping Center, by Bella Rosy Pizzeria.
