CHESTER, PA — Two parents were charged with murder this week after investigators found the mother beat her 2-year-old son to death and the father prevented medical intervention to hide the abuse several months ago, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.
In November, Chester Police were called to the home of Cynthia Robinson and Frank Walton Sr., where a small child suffered cardiac arrest with possible head trauma, authorities said.

The child was brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Robinson, 33, initially blamed the death on one of her other children, authorities said. But investigators later found her explanation was factually impossible.

Through further investigation, detectives discovered that Robinson had a history of abusing her children, authorities said. She was also on supervision for a child endangerment case regarding drug use in the presence of kids, according to the DA's Office.
The victim was seen bleeding the day before he died. Robinson was overheard exclaiming "(f)uck this little bitch I’m going to hit him now, I’m tired of this little bitch ass kid" while dropping her son from her waist, authorities said.
Walton, 57, prevented medical intervention to hide the abuse, leading to the victim's death, officials said.
Both parents were charged Wednesday with murder. Walton was arrested that day and denied bail, with a preliminary hearing set for April 28. Robinson is in custody and awaiting arraignment, officials said Friday.
