Fleeing Carjacking Suspect Brings Large-Scale Search To Delco: Police
Nearly a dozen law-enforcement agencies collaborated to set up a perimeter and find the suspect.
MORTON, PA — A fleeing carjacking suspect was arrested after a large-scale search involving over 10 police departments last week in Delaware County, authorities said.
An armed carjacking was reported around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday on the unit block of Main Street in Morton, police said.
The suspect vehicle fled police in the area. Then, the suspect ran out of the car on the 200 block of Sylvan Avenue, according to Morton Police.

Officers from 10 other agencies helped Morton Police search for the suspect. Police identified and arrested the suspect after setting up a perimeter and tracking with a K-9.
The suspect's identity was not released.

There is no threat to the community, said Morton Police.
"This was not a random act of violence," the police department said. "This was an isolated incident and should not impact the daily routines of the community."
Police from the following town helped find the suspect: Eddystone, Haverford, Marple, Media, Nether Providence, Newtown, Prospect Park, Ridley, Springfield and Swarthmore.
