• Speeders Roll Through Roaring Spring On Annual Excursion (mcheraldonline.com) — An annual railcar “speeder” excursion brought about 30 small railcars through Blair County, running from Hollidaysburg to Roaring Spring and up to Bean Hill in Martinsburg before turning back. The outing highlighted local railroad history, Roaring Spring’s 1906 train station, and a VFW food truck that raised funds for the Roaring Spring Historical Society.
