ā¢ Q Academy mentoring expands to 3 more school districts (alliednews.com) ā A Mercer County nonprofit is rapidly expanding its Q Academy mentoring program for young men from Sharon into Lakeview, Greenville and Farrell schools, potentially serving about 100 students this year. Prince of Peace Center is seeking sponsors, mentors and local business partners to support life-skills, career exploration and leadership training that aims to strengthen families and reduce poverty across the Mercer County area.

ā¢ Tour bus driver sentenced after local sex sting arrest (wkbn.com) ā A Michigan tour bus driver caught in an undercover prostitution sting told investigators he was staying in Mercer, Pa., while transporting a university swim team. He has now pleaded no contest in Columbiana Municipal Court, receiving fines, community service and an education course, while drug charges were dismissed and no additional jail time was imposed.
