Lehigh Valley food safety report: Pork thawing on counter, gnats behind bar, 'black mold-like substances' (mcall.com) — Several Nazareth food spots just had state inspections, with A Pinch of Sugar, Bella Bean Bara Boom, Circle Cafe on Main, LV Candy Shop, Newburg Deli, and Domino's on Nazareth Pike all passing without violations. The wider Lehigh Valley report also flags issues like unsafe thawing, pest concerns, and mold-like buildup at other regional restaurants, giving Nazareth diners a broader safety snapshot. 
2. Repair planned for North America's oldest Moravian building, a fixture in Lehigh Valley town (lehighvalleylive.com) — Nazareth's historic Gray Cottage, believed to be North America's oldest Moravian building, is undergoing major structural repairs that residents can watch throughout August. Craftspeople are replacing deteriorated logs using traditional methods at the Moravian Historical Society site on East Center Street. Visitors are welcome Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to see the preservation in action.
3. Paradise Lavender Farm owner looks to retire and sell beloved Poconos treasure (wnep.com) — A Nazareth mother and her daughters are among the many families savoring visits to Paradise Lavender Farm in Monroe County before its owner retires and closes the property on Sept. 7. The longtime Cresco destination, known for its lavender fields and whimsical fairy garden, is up for sale in hopes a new owner will keep the beloved retreat going.
4. 21-year-old woman killed in Lehigh County crash on Monday, police say (nbcphiladelphia.com) — A Nazareth man was one of three drivers involved in a three-vehicle crash in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, that killed a 21-year-old woman from Bath on Monday morning. State police say the investigation continues, and no charges have been announced. The Nazareth driver and a Pottsville driver's names have not yet been released.
