• Man arrested on assault charges in Palmer (newportdispatch.com) — Police say an 18-year-old was arrested on Nazareth Road at Crest Boulevard in Palmer Township after allegedly assaulting officers who stopped to check on his welfare. The man, reportedly intoxicated and combative, is accused of spitting on, headbutting, and biting an officer during the arrest. He's now in Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail facing multiple assault and alcohol-related charges.
