• Police: Man, out on bail for attempted car theft at train station, returns to steal train (shensentinel.com) — A Nesquehoning resident is jailed after police say he twice targeted the Reading and Northern Railroad’s Nesquehoning campus, first by allegedly trying to steal a car, then by climbing into a locomotive cab and manipulating its controls. Officers and a railroad engineer intervened both times, and the man now faces multiple theft, trespass, and railroad disruption charges bound for Carbon County Court.
