Stolen License Plate, Counterfeit Bills: Lambertville City Police Report

Police also investigated several cases of harassment, theft of services, and a strong odor of gas emanating from a generator.

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. — The City of Lambertville Police Department reported the following incidents during the month of May:

May 7

  • On Thursday, May 7 at 1:10 p.m., Patrolmen Caponpon took a report at police headquarters regarding a stolen license plate from Perry Street.

  • On Monday, May 11 at 3:31, Patrolmen Bradley took a report at police headquarters regarding fraud which occurred on South Franklin Street; investigation is ongoing.

May 20

  • On Wednesday, May 20 at 7:30, patrol investigated an incident involving theft of services which occurred at a business on Bridge Street. Police said counterfeit money was given to a gas attendant. Patrolmen Hughes investigated.
  • On Wednesday, May 20 at 9:42 a.m., patrol responded to a business on Elm Street for the report of theft by unlawful taking. Patrolmen Zilliox is investigating.

  • On Friday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 26, Detective Sergeant Bast took a report at police headquarters for a civil issue regarding a theft involving a Lambertville City resident as a victim.

May 25

  • On Monday, May 25 at 12:08 p.m., patrol responded to a business on Route 165 for a strong odor of gas due to generators being utilized inside a building. Ptl. Zilliox and Detective Sergeant Bast are investigating.
  • On Monday, May 25 at 3:32 a.m., Corporal Wurpel took a report at police headquarters via telephone regarding harassment.

May 26

  • On Tuesday, May 26 at 10:29 a.m., patrol investigated an incident of harassment at Cavallo Park. Patrolmen Ticona investigated.
