Harvest Seasonal Grill Giving Back In November To Bucks Food Pantry
"Farm to Family" initiative to provide chef-prepared meals to families in Bucks while giving guests the chance to support the food pantry.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — During November, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar in Newtown is partnering with the New Britain Food Pantry to provide five nights of chef-prepared dinners to local families facing food insecurity or financial hardship.
The partnership is part of Harvest’s new GIVE. LOVE. SERVE. — “Farm to Family” initiative, created to take the restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy beyond its dining room and directly into the communities it serves.
During November, Harvest’s Newtown restaurant at the Village at Newtown Shopping Center will prepare five dinners for participating families of four, giving parents something many take for granted: an entire work week without having to worry about what they are going to put on the dinner table.

At the heart of the Newtown effort is the New Britain Food Pantry in Warrington, a 100 percent volunteer-powered organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in the community experiencing food insecurity. Volunteers unload deliveries, check dates, stock shelves, and welcome the neighbors who walk through the doors. The pantry operates on a simple but powerful idea: neighbors take care of neighbors.
Rather than asking families to apply separately to Harvest or prove their need, the food pantry will identify families it already serves who could benefit from the program, allowing the process to remain private and respectful.

“Harvest has always been about more than what we put on a plate. It is about where our food comes from, the people who grow it, the communities we serve and bringing people together around the table,” said Harvest owner Dave Magrogan. “If we can use our kitchens, talented chefs and resources to make life a little easier for a family going through a difficult time, that is exactly what we should be doing.”
The Bucks County community can be part of the effort, too. Throughout November, guests at Harvest Newtown will be invited to donate directly to the New Britain Food Pantry, with 100 percent of those donations going to the organization and the neighbors it serves.
“This isn't about asking a family to explain why they need help,” said Magrogan. “It's simply about being a good neighbor. We want families to enjoy dinner together, and we want them to know there are people in their community who care.”
Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar is a farm-to-table restaurant concept founded by Dave Magrogan, focusing on locally sourced, sustainable cuisine and a menu that changes with the seasons. The brand works closely with over 75 local farms, offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and strives to make healthy indulgence both delicious and accessible.
