Weninger, from Warwick Township, is a science educator, township auditor, wife, mother, and longtime Bucks County resident.
Weninger said she’s running for State Representative “because our community deserves a leader who prioritizes evidence over ideology. As a science teacher, I've spent over 25 years showing my students how to look at the facts and find solutions that actually work. Unfortunately, we don't see enough of that in Harrisburg.
“I'm running to bring a scientific eye to our state government — to break down complex bills into manageable pieces for the public and to ensure our tax dollars are spent effectively,” she said. “I am committed to making the state government make sense for every resident of the 178th District.”
Marcell said she’s running because there is still more work to do – on affordability, growing our economy and helping job creators, ensuring fiscal accountability in government, and more.
“On issues big and small – from expanding workforce opportunities to improving medical care and transparency in nursing home, addressing porch piracy to fighting the scourge of xylazine, helping families save for college to delivering record funding for local schools – I have been successful in working through divided government to achieve positive outcomes,” said Marcell.
Election results are unofficial until certified by the Bucks County Board of Elections.
