• School Withdraws Plans For Learning Center At Goodnoe Corner In Newtown (patch.com) — Residents in Newtown Township will see no immediate changes at Goodnoe Corner after Apple Montessori School withdrew its plans to turn the former Rite Aid into a 142-student early childhood learning center. Township supervisors had raised safety and parking concerns about placing a school in the busy shopping center lot and even hired outside counsel to oppose the conditional use request, leaving Apple to reconsider whether to pursue a different plan or location.
