The work is part of a larger resurfacing and safety upgrade project stretching from Big Spring Creek in Newville Borough into surrounding townships, with no overnight work planned inside the borough. 
• Committee finds inconsistency and lack of scrutiny for Pa.'s legal aid revenue source (cumberlink.com) — Pennsylvania lawmakers are reviewing how court surcharges fund civil legal aid, after a new report found shrinking revenues, inconsistent county reporting, and an outdated, mostly paper-based payment system. While the focus is statewide, the findings could affect how local courts, including those serving Newville residents, collect and route fees that support legal help for low-income people.
