Boil Water Advisory Issued In Norristown, Plymouth

Contamination may have entered the water system Monday, officials said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A boil water warning advisory has been issued in Norristown and Plymouth Township, Pennsylvania American Water announced.

There was a loss of pressure in the distribution system due to an equipment failure Monday, officials said, which may have allowed contamination to enter the distribution system through back pressure.

A total of 1,069 connections are impacted.

"Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and cool before using; or use bottled water," the utility says. "You should use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation until further notice."
