Major 2-Alarm Blaze Battled At Montco Auto Dealer Monday

BRIDGEPORT, PA — A major fire swept through an auto dealer in Bridgeport Monday, as firefighters from around the region worked for hours to contain the scene.

The incident began at around 3 p.m. on 1070 DeKalb Street at the PA Imports facility.

A second alarm was quickly rung as flames began to spread.

The structure suffered severe damage as crews ran hose lines through the afternoon and into the evening hours.

It's not yet clear if there were any injuries.

DeKalb Street was closed for hours as crews worked the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
