ā¢ Greenfield Township Asking for Bids on 2RC Aggregate (northeastpaonline.com) ā Greenfield Township supervisors are seeking bids for 16,000 tons of PennDOT-approved 2RC, with bids due by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. A special public meeting at the Greenfield Township Municipal Building on Rich Hill Road in North East will be held that evening to open bids, award the contract, and consider 2026 seal coat projects.

ā¢ PennDOT, Safety Partners Host Teen Driver Safety Competition (explorevenango.com) ā North East High School student John Sank captured second place and $500 at Erie Countyās Teen Driver Safety Competition, while also helping teammate Willie Shunk secure a $500 student council prize for their school. Nearly 30 students from area high schools tackled obstacle courses, vehicle checks, and written tests in the 18th annual event hosted by PennDOT and safety partners. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ North East's Grychowski named 2025 coach of the year by NWPFCA (yourerie.com) ā North East High School head football coach Chris Grychowski has been honored as the Northwest Pennsylvania Football Coaches Associationās 2025 Coach of the Year after leading the Grape Pickers to a 9-3 season and their first playoff win since 2009. The association also recognized Girard assistant coach Andrew āGertā Angert with its Pat Czytuck Assistant Coach of the Year Award. Ā Ā Ā
