• This trash hauler missed more than 700 homes in one month in Palmer Township (lehighvalleylive.com) — Palmer Township’s new trash hauler, Republic Services, has missed more than 1,000 pickups since March, including 779 homes in May alone, prompting fines and sharp criticism from township leaders. Officials say service is improving but still unacceptable, and they’re pressing the company—under a five-year contract at $480 per household—to stabilize routes and restore residents’ trust.
