Woman Struck, Killed By Train In Pittsburgh Area
A woman was fatally hit by an Amtrak train in a suburban Pittsburgh community on Wednesday.
EDGEWOOD, PA — A woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train on Wednesday.
Police have confirmed that the a woman was hit by the train at around 8. a.m. near West Swissvale and Pennwood avenues. She has not been identified.
Allegheny County police, Edgewood police and emergency crews all responded to the scene.

The incident delayed the eastbound Amtrak train for more than two hours and also closed the nearby Pittsburgh Regional Transit East Busway.
