Giant Eagle Embarks On Multimillion-Dollar Renovation Of Multiple Stores

PITTSBURGH, PA –Giant Eagle on Thursday will celebrate the beginning of multimillion-dollar multiple store makeovers with ceremonies at two of its longstanding stores in Cranberry and West View.

Giant Eagle is promising a bright and revitalized shopping experience at the two stores, with an aesthetic and store layout that will be the blueprint for future Giant Eagle store remodels.

In the near future, Giant Eagle will renovate additional stores in the region as part of what stores officials assert is a significant investment in elevating the in-store Giant Eagle shopping experience.

“We are excited to reintroduce guests to our Cranberry and West View Giant Eagle locations, and we are thrilled for them to see how we’ve improved the in-stores shopping experience,” Giant Eagle spokesman Dan Donovan said.

“The loyalty and support these communities have shown to Giant Eagle throughout the decades has meant the world to us, and we are pleased to reward that loyalty by delivering Giant Eagle’s newest store design, which bring freshness, quality, and savings to the forefront of the experience.”

At 10 a.m. on Thursday, the Cranberry Giant Eagle will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting after making a $2,500 donation to the Senaca Valley Foundation. The Pirate Parrot will be on-site to greet customers from 9:30 s,m– 10:30 a.m., and the Giant Eagle Giant Buggy will mark its return to Pittsburgh with a stop at the store from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

In addition to refreshed, modern design throughout the store, Cranberry Giant Eagle customers will also enjoy a number of new and solutions-focused products and services across the store, including pizza and panini stations and a soup bar in the prepared foods department, fresh breads baked by Mediterra in the bakery, roasted signature meats from the deli, and the popular Market District line of olive oils.

The Giant Buggy will then roll its way to the West View Giant Eagle where it will be stationed and available for photo opportunities from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.p.m. At 1:30 p.m. the store will will celebrate the completion of its remodel with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and $2,500 donation to the North Hills Foundation. The Pirate Parrot will be on-site to interact with customers from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
