Kennywood Offering Free Potato Patch Fries

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — If you want to get out and enjoy the anticipated spring-like temperatures this weekend, you can go to Kennywood and get the amusement park's legendary Potato Patch fries for free on Saturday.

There is a minor catch, however.

The fries will be available to those attending a hiring fair ahead of the 2026 season. Kennywood is seeking more than 1,500 hosts to join its team and its nearby sister water park, Sandcastle is looking for 500 workers.

The job fair will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. In addition to the free fries, applicants will have the opportunity to meet current employees, learn more about available positions, apply, and interview on the spot.

Kennywood and Sandcastle offer park employees competitive wages with pay starting at up to $15 per hour and perks that include like free admission to both parks, free tickets to share with friends and family, flexible schedules, scholarship opportunities, exclusive events and more.

Job opportunities are currently available across all departments including ride operations, security, lifeguards, food and beverage, park services, admissions, and more. No experience is required, and training for each position is done upon accepting an offer.
