Popular Pittsburgh Diner Opening New Location

HOMESTEAD, PA — New life is about to be breathed in to a beloved neighborhood bakery that closed nearly six years ago.

The Breakfast Spot, a popular diner in Carrick, will open a second location in the former Mantsch Blue Bonnet Bakery on East Eighth Avenue. The diner has purchased the bakery building.

The eatery announced the development in a social media post.

"This historic space will soon become the new home of The Breakfast Spot's Second Location," the post stated.

"What started as one restaurant on Brownsville Road is growing into something much bigger, and none of this would be possible without everyone who has supported us, shared our posts, stood in line, ordered delivery, told a friend, or simply watched our journey.

The post did not mention a possible opening date.
