Man Killed When E-Bike Collides With Pittsburgh-Area Law Enforcement Vehicle

A man on an e-bike hit a law enforcement vehicle in the Pittsburgh area. The result was fatal.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, PA — A man is dead after his e-bike collided with a marked Butler County Sheriff's Office vehicle.

The New Castle Police Department said on Wednesday that the incident occurred at the intersection of South Walnut and County Line streets.

The e-bike operator, Jaycob Heasley, 25, was unresponsive at the scene. He was taken to UPMC Jameson, where he was pronounced dead.

Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists Unit conducted a collision investigation in coordination with New Castle police.
