Pittsburgh-Area Man Charged In Connection With His Mother's Death
A Pittsburgh-area woman was found dead in a home on Sunday. Her son was arrested hours later.
WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA — A West Newton man is in custody after his mother was found dead in her home Sunday morning.
According to a Pennsylvania State Police social media post, troopers responded to a home on Herminie West Newton Road following a report of an unresponsive woman. Upon arrival, they found her dead.
The Westmoreland County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Christin Hamilton of West Newton. An age, as well as the cause and manner of death, were not immediately provided.

Troopers circulated a photo of her son, Jakub Korber, 27, online and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911.
Korbur later was seen approaching the residence where they fatal incident took place. Police were notified, and Korber was taken into custody.

According to court documents, Korber has been charged with criminal homicide. He faces a preliminary hearing on Sept. 14.
