Pittsburgh Mall To Host Well-Known Retailer 's New Store Concept

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A familiar name in a different format will open in Ross Park Mall this week.

The first Disney Store Limited Time in the country will open in the mall on May 23. It will be located on the second level near J. Crew.

The store's concept is deigned for an immersive experience in which kids and their parents will find apparel, accessories, plush toys, collectibles, pins and more.

The store will feature favorite Disney characters such as princesses as well as Pixar, Marvel and "Star Wars" characters.

All of the locations will be run by Go! Retail Group, which also runs the revived Toys "R" Us brand name and Calendars.com.

The store's hours:

• Sunday 11:00 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Monday through Thursday 10 a.m.- 8p.m.
• Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-9 p.m.

Fans will recall that the Disney Store was once a distinct retail chain and a major presence in shopping malls across the country. However, the company has sharply reduced its physical retail footprint over the years.

It's unclear how long the store will operate at the mall., but as the retailer's name suggests, it likely will be for a limited time.

At the moment, an in-person visit will be required to purchase merchandise. No online orders will be available.

According to WDW News Today, a second Disney Store Limited Time location is planned for Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey, with an opening expected sometime this fall.
