Wegmans Could Add 2nd Pittsburgh Store: Report
Wegmans already plans to open a store in Cranberry. According to a report, it is eyeing a second Pittsburgh store in a surprising location.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Wegmans, the supermarket chain known for its customer service, restaurant foods and one-stop shopping, has plans to open a 115,000-square foot store in Cranberry next year.
According to a report, a second Wegmans could be coming to town.
The Pittsburgh Business Times is reporting that a Washington, D.C, development firm is buying the Galleria on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon and wants to bring Wegmans to the South Hills.

Roadside Development is the company that apparently is purchasing the Galleria.
The Wegmans being built in Cranberry is on a 12-acre site on Cool Springs Drive next to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. According to the Business Times, the Galleria property is a little under 15 acres.

Wegmans would say only that in continues to evaluate properties in Pittsburgh that would complement its future Cranberry store.
