• Clover Commons residents target state senator's New Kensington office in bid for mobile home rent control (triblive.com) — Plum's Clover Commons mobile home residents are pushing hard for state lawmakers to cap steep rent hikes that will raise their lot fees to about $800 a month in October. They traveled to Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman's New Kensington office urging action on House Bill 1250, which would limit annual increases in manufactured home communities to roughly 2% to 4%. 
• Soccer Recap: Plum Escapes with a Win (maxpreps.com) — Plum's boys soccer team edged Franklin Regional 3-2, extending their unbeaten streak to three games and improving their record to 4-1-2. Ranked well above Franklin Regional statewide, the Mustangs now look ahead to hosting Norwin at 1 p.m. Saturday, giving local fans a chance to cheer them on at home.
• James Copenhaver, wounded in Trump assassination attempt at Butler rally, has died (triblive.com) — A Plum resident, David Dutch, was among those critically injured when a gunman opened fire at a Butler County rally for Donald Trump two years ago, an attack that has now claimed another life. Officials say fellow victim James Copenhaver, 76, has died from his injuries, while a lawsuit continues to question the Secret Service's handling of the event.
