Investigators linked surveillance footage and a vehicle to a DuBois woman, who reportedly admitted using the card while facing financial and personal struggles. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 2. 
• State Police Searching for Escaped Jefferson County Jail Inmate (gantnews.com) — State police based in Punxsutawney are searching for a Jefferson County Jail inmate who walked away from his work-release job at a Reynoldsville business Monday afternoon. Authorities say 35-year-old Eric Dwayne Bailes failed to return to custody, prompting a full extradition warrant and a request for tips from anyone who may know his whereabouts.
• State Police Report DUI Investigations And I-80 Deer Collision in Jefferson County (gantnews.com) — State police from the Punxsutawney barracks say a 61-year-old Punxsutawney man was stopped in Young Township and is facing pending DUI-related charges after a late-night traffic stop. Troopers also arrested a Leechburg man in Summerville for DUI and drug possession, and reported that a Knox Dale woman was uninjured after hitting a deer on I-80 in Washington Township.
