Yet few of us are ever given the opportunity to step back, learn from experts, and have meaningful conversations about these issues with people from different generations and backgrounds.
That's why AFS Interact is proud to host the&nbsp;United for Justice Justice Literacy Conference&nbsp;this Saturday in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), the organization founded by&nbsp;Just Mercy&nbsp;author Bryan Stevenson.
Featuring EJI Learning Engagement Specialist&nbsp;Tad Roach&nbsp;and attorney&nbsp;David Trevaskis, the conference will explore topics including justice literacy, individual rights, civic engagement, and how everyday citizens can help create stronger communities.
This event is for everyone: students, parents, grandparents, educators, and community members. In a time when our society often feels divided,&nbsp;United for Justice&nbsp;seeks to bring people together through education, dialogue, and a shared commitment to creating positive change.
The future of our communities will be shaped by informed citizens who are willing to learn, listen, and act. Join us as we come together to better understand the challenges facing our society and discover how each of us can make a difference.

Join us this spring on the third Thursday of April, May, and June for three opportunities to wander, discover, and enjoy the collection above and below the first floor. From 4:00–7:00 pm, visitors can self-guide through spaces usually seen on guided tours, as well as some spaces that are often unseen! Staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find your way. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available on the first floor.
Please note that the historic elevator will be available for accessibility only, and the Tower will not be available.

The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.
This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. 
Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17: 
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax) 
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)
A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. 
The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table.

Exciting, spectacular, dazzling, breathtaking, exhilarating, spirited, soulful, enchanting, captivating, and intriguing – modest words which describe but by no means capture the essence of Ukrainian folk art, music, song and dance.From the rich color and deep symbolism of the delicate “pysanka” (Ukrainian Easter Egg) to the thunderous, power, rhythm and strength of “HOPAK” – the world’s most exciting ethnic dance, and every brilliant “Kolomiyka” (polka) and soulful folk song in between, experience the UKRAINIAN FOLK FESTIVAL 2026, celebrating the 35th anniversary of our ancestral homeland’s independence.
