• Former Delco teacher alleges she got mesothelioma from asbestos in schools (delcotimes.com) — A former Delaware County educator has sued multiple school districts, including Springfield Township School District, claiming years of asbestos exposure in local schools led to her mesothelioma diagnosis. The suit, now moved to Delaware County court, also targets major manufacturers like Johnson & Johnson and details her long career in Upper Darby and Marple Newtown schools. Her attorney says she recently endured a grueling 16-hour cancer surgery and is seeking capped compensation from the districts. 
• All-Delco Softball: Five aces headline loaded first team (delcotimes.com) — Springfield softball standout Payton Feeney capped her senior year by surpassing 800 career strikeouts and leading the Cougars to a Central League title and state tournament run. Fellow Cougar Rosy Caramanico also broke out with a .568 average and a county-best 43 hits. Both were named to the All-Delco first team alongside top players from Haverford, Marple Newtown, Strath Haven, and other Delco schools.
