First composed in the late 1980s, Missa Gaia is widely regarded as a pioneering masterpiece of “ecological music,” blending traditional liturgical elements with vibrant improvisation and the natural voices of the Earth, such as whale songs and wolf calls.
Performed by the BMPC Sanctuary Choir alongside a brass ensemble and guest musicians, this evocative concert invites listeners on a spiritual journey that honors the sacredness of the planet and all living beings.
