Candidate Questions:

1. What is your stance on data centers in your district?

This is the "new fracking." We must learn from our failures to address the serious environmental impacts of AI data centers. I am co-sponsoring legislation which would require data center developers and users to report their operations and energy and water usage to PA, and direct municipalities to regulate data centers and adopt local ordinances to limit harmful impacts on nearby communities. We need guardrails as this new technological frontier expands rapidly. I do not support letting these companies come in and reap economic benefits by destroying our environment and harming our communities, and will continue to advocate for more laws tackling AI-related issues and fighting for affordable energy for Pennsylvanians.

2. What would be the best plan for the development future of some of the communities in your district?

Unchecked development without storm water mitigation in years past left us with flooding issues. We need to be smart when considering the best use of remaining land to serve our communities. I also believe that investing in energy-efficient, alternative fuel sources creates innovation and green jobs. It's not only important to build a better and more sustainable future for our children and grandchildren, but beneficial economically.

3. What are some of the top issues in your district?

The cost of living has skyrocketed! From groceries and gas to astronomical home energy bills and healthcare costs, families that were already stretched thin are being crushed by reckless federal policies and unchecked corporate greed. I'm fighting for families and getting results, addressing challenges in our district and working to level the playing field. I've secured millions of dollars to support infrastructure, public works, our first responders, community organizations, and academic, arts, and athletic programs in our public schools. I also pushed for state budgets with historic investments in economic development.

I also sponsored legislation to put smart guardrails in place to ensure AI data centers won't destroy our communities while corporations hoard profits. There's still more we can do, and I'm hoping Pennsylvania voters want change this year so I have partners in office to keep important legislation that will make a real difference in people's lives from getting stalled in the state senate.

It is our duty to protect our environment. Everyone has a right to clean air and pure water. In Warminster Township, residents lost access to our clean drinking water source due to PFOS/PFOA contamination. I am leading the charge on banning those forever chemicals in Harrisburg.

Accessible and affordable healthcare is very important to me. Having beaten cancer twice, I would be dead or bankrupt without quality care. As the pro-choice candidate, I stand firmly in support of women and will fight for their right to access the reproductive healthcare they need and deserve, including access to abortion. It’s crucial we trust women to do what’s best for their health and treat them with compassion instead of contempt.

As Chair of the PA House Law Enforcement Caucus, public safety and the wellbeing of those protecting and serving their communities are always top-of-mind. As a Navy vet, I understand the sacrifice of those who serve our country and defend our freedom. We must respect and take much better care of our veterans. I am strongly pro-labor and will always support the right of workers to organize for living wages and better working conditions. Public education is also very important to me. Education is key to our future and I believe we need to invest in schools, not weaken them.
