• Flock license plate readers coming to Washington (cbsnews.com) — Washington’s police department is rolling out Flock license plate reader cameras at key intersections in a year-long trial aimed at solving crimes faster, not issuing tickets. The system will give local investigators direct access to vehicle data inside city limits, replacing reliance on neighboring towns’ cameras. After the trial, city leaders will decide whether to keep the technology.
