• Wattsburg schools superintendent search underway (goerie.com) — Wattsburg residents will soon see a change at the top of their school district, as longtime superintendent Ken Berlin retires June 30 after nearly 13 years in the role. The school board has already received more than a dozen applications and is working with the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit to vet candidates, aiming for a smooth transition and continued stability for the district’s roughly 1,300 students.
