• Waynesburg to seek new bids for Second Avenue lot (observer-reporter.com) — Waynesburg borough council has rejected a single low bid for the vacant lot at 224 Second Avenue, which the borough took over after a 2024 fire, and plans to reopen bidding for 30 days. Officials say the offer was far below the appraised value and included costly conditions like fixing a water leak and adding a curb cut. A neighboring owner has already expressed interest at a much higher price.
