East Side Little League hopes to return glory to the home team after a dominant run to become regional champions.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Little League World Series begins Wednesday in Williamsport, and the mid-Atlantic region will once again be represented by a team from the hosts in Pennsylvania.
West Chester's East Side Little League, the state and regional champions, will get a bye and compete in their first game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21. Their opponent has not yet been determined and will depend upon the results of the matchups in the coming days.
The excitement surrounding East Side is real. They dominated nearly every game of the preliminary rounds of the tournament, outscoring opponents 135-30. They went 16-1 in the tournament overall, and the only team they lost to, Blue Mountain, they defeated twice in a row to win the state title.

"This lineup may be one of the most well constructed in the tournament, as even the lowest averages in the lineup are still at or over .300," LSV Sports reports. "From one to twelve, opposing pitching and defenses will not get a break."
