• Stolen handgun, cash burglary lead to charges in separate cases in Lycoming County district courts (sungazette.com) — A South Williamsport traffic stop for a broken license plate light led state police to impound a car and later find a stolen handgun, resulting in multiple charges against a Milton man. In a separate Lycoming County case, a Waterville resident faces burglary-related charges tied to cash stolen from a Porter Township business, with both defendants currently free on bail.
   

• Tijuana's little leaguers are headed back to the Little League World Series (kpbs.org) — Williamsport gets another international spotlight as Tijuana’s Little League champions head here to compete in the World Series later this month. The Mexican team has trained intensely for the time change and early wake-ups, hoping to bring home their country’s first title since 1997. Their first game in Williamsport is set for August 20 against Australia.
   

• Feds sue Pa. landlord accusing him of sex discrimination after he pleaded guilty to assaulting tenant (pennlive.com) — Federal officials, via the Middle District Court in Williamsport, have sued a State College landlord alleging sex-based housing discrimination against a tenant and her four children. The complaint claims he made unwanted sexual advances, then failed to maintain the rental after she rebuffed him, forcing the family to relocate. The suit seeks to bar future discrimination and obtain monetary relief for the family.
