IDENTITY THEFT — 1400 block of Silo Road, reported at 11:47 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) attempted to open a checking account in their name.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT:

  • 500 block of Heritage Oak Drive, reported at 1:01 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for EcoShield soliciting with an expired permit.
  • 500 block of Heritage Oak Drive, reported at 6:52 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for EcoShield soliciting with an expired permit.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE — 1400 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 1:43 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) removed about $5,000 worth of tools from the vehicle’s toolbox.

July 1

RETAIL THEFT — 900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans reported at 3:54 p.m. Loss Prevention reported a known woman, and ex-employee entered the store on June 25, placed multiple items in her cart, changed clothing and placed additional items in her cart then left the store without paying. She removed a total of $147.44 worth of merchandise. A summons was filed for the 46-year-old township woman for retail theft.

ACCIDENT & DUI ARREST — Oxford Valley Road and Route 1, reported at 9:03 p.m. Police responded to the report of a one vehicle accident at the location. Further investigation revealed the 51-year-old male driver from Morrisville had been drinking. Charges pending for Driving Under the Influence.

June 30

FRAUD — 800 block of South Crescent Boulevard, reported at 7 .m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their bank account in the amount of $394.49.

IDENTITY THEFT — 2000 block of Trowbridge Drive, reported at 9:49 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) opened a credit union account in their name.

DRUG ARREST — Big Oak Road and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 9:47 a.m. Police on patrol observed a disabled vehicle at the location. Upon approaching the driver, who was standing outside of the vehicle in the travel lane, police could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police observed a glass bong in plain view in the center console. The 22-year-old male driver from Lower Makefield was taken into police custody for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of marijuana.

THEFT — 1800 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 11:09 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) stole light bulbs from their patio lights.

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 10:48 a.m. Loss Prevention reported on nine separate occasions between 5/4 – 6/26, a woman failed to scan $156.23 worth of items at self-checkout. A records check revealed the address for the female, where police went to question her. She stated the thefts were unintentional. The 70-year-old woman from Lower Makefield was cited for Retail Theft.

June 29

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 9:20 p.m. Loss Prevention reported on 6/25, an unknown male entered the store and removed three Floor Care vacuums valued at $720.77 without paying. The male fled in a 2001 Toyota Solara. Investigation ongoing.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE — 500 block of W. Trenton Ave., reported at 2:17 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the discovery of a small amount of marijuana, two collapsible batons, and an electronic stun gone. The 36-year-old man from Willingboro, N.J., is a felon and prohibited from possessing these items. A records check revealed the temporary registration on the vehicle was fraudulent. He was taken into police custody and charge with Use/Possession of Fraudulent Documents, Prohibited Possession and Possession of Marijuana. He was arraigned by Judge Kronnagel and released on $10,000.00 unsecured bail.

June 28

RETAIL THEFT — 500 block of W. Trenton Ave. at CVS, reported at 10:21 a.m. A manager reported a man removed $22.74 worth of merchandise without paying. The 30-year-old man from Trenton, N.J., was taken into police custody for Retail Theft. He was arraigned by Judge Baranoski and released on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.

DUI ARREST — Bayley Lane and Cardinal Drive, reported at 10:36 p.m. Police responded to the report of a domestic on the 500 block of S. Dove Rd., where the woman fled the scene in a vehicle, possibly intoxicated. The vehicle was located at the noted location, where there was a toddler in the vehicle. The 27-year-old female driver was taken into police custody for Driving Under the Influence.

June 26

FRAUD — 1400 block of Clinton Dr., reported at 3:16 p.m. The complainant reported receiving a phone call from an unknown person claiming that their son was in an accident and needed $5,000.00 for legal aid. Caller ended the phone call and did not suffer any financial loss.

SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — 1700 block of Cedar Hollow Dr. reported at 3:45 p.m. The complainant reported solicitors for an energy company soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until a permit was obtained.
